Apple has finally increased the over-the-air App Store download limit to 50 MB which is good news for those iOS users who don’t have a computer and a Wi-Fi connection. Earlier, the limit used to be 20 MB and for any content above the limit you would have to download it through a Wi-Fi connection or download it using iTunes on your computer.

The new limit seems to be the effect of the latest iPad’s Retina display since it will require apps of higher size but you should note that content over 50 MB would still require a Wi-Fi connection or download from iTunes with your computer. Although the new limit will be sufficient for most of the apps, music or videos but users with unlimited data plans would have preferred more.
