Good news arrives for Windows Phone users, as Facebook devs are pushing out a major update to the Facebook for Windows Phone App in the coming few days. The update took in consideration the feedback from the Windows Phone users in a serious manner and thus bundles along with a big change-log.

The new version will be 2.5 and the change-log is as follows:

  • Now there will be full Facebook threaded messaging including group messaging, all in a beautiful Metro style design.
  • Also, now one can tag friends and locations in your posts in the ‘with’ and ‘at’ format.
  • Also now one can activate the links in posts by just tapping on the links in posts to go directly to the content.
  • The photo comments and likes page has been updated to match the posts comments and likes page. One can now see a hint of the image at the top of the page, pull down and one can see the whole thing too.
  • Now one can use the tap and hold context menu to delete posts and comments from his wall.
  • And the one change we admire the most is that now one can “Like” comments.
Well, this sure is a huge major update and a reason for Windows Phone users to rejoice for amidst the Windows Phone 8 Apollo chaos and confusion.
