Multiple Windows RemixOS

Keep your old desktops ready because Remix OS is now ready to be flashed on your 32-bit old machines. Today at MWC, 2016 Jide Technology has announced the public beta of their desktop Android operating system, Remix OS.

Iterating with a new version, Remix OS for PC beta now supports dual booting with your primary operating system and OTA updates (Hooray!). Alongside they have squashed a few bugs which now makes it more operable to handle routine activities. With the mouse and keyboard support along with nifty desktop additions Jide Technology is on its mission to bring Android to desktops after their announcement at CES earlier this year.

The new release will be publically available to download from the Jide website on March 1st.

Change log from Alpha to Beta:

  • Over 50 major bugs fixed
  • UEFI support added
  • 32-bit support added alongside 64-bit
  • Hard drive installer for dual-boot now available
  • OTA update support

As of now, Remix OS still does not come with Google Play Services and the Play Store pre-installed. Commenting on the same, “This is while Google takes the time they need to test the new operating environment”. Though the developers have provided instructions on their website to sideload Google Play Services on the beta version.
