OnePlus 3OnePlus 3 costs about half to that of conventional flagship devices, and thats what OnePlus in known for (Flagship Specs and low on price). OnePlus delivered an experience that not only attempts to challenge its competition but actually surpasses them in a few areas. After the fallout with CyanogenMod OnePlus worked really hard to build their customised version of Android operating system i.e The Oxygen OS for the overseas market. There is also another version of the OS designed specifically for the Chinese home market called the HydrogenOS. Talking about the Oxygen OS which used to be laggy till version 3.1.2. With OnePlus 3 the Chinese manufacturer had worked hard to make Oxygen OS smooth. And OnePlus has made the Oxygen OS (v3.2.X) perfect with almost no hiccups.

Just few hours after the launch of OnePlus 3 the Chinese manufacturer open sourced just about everything of the device — right from the GPL-mandated kernel code, to the extras like the device tree to the second-helping-extra camera HAL and RIL code. Out of all of these, only the kernel code is what is expected from companies, and some even fail to provide that. OnePlus going a fair few steps above and beyond that is something to appreciate. Despite everything that they open-sourced, OnePlus chose to leave out the sources for the drivers for Dash Charging functionality.

Following this CyanogenMod has released the first nightly build of CyanogenMod 13 (CM13) running Android Marshmallow 6.0. Users can download and Flash the latest nightly build of CyanogenMod 13 from here. As this is a nightly build it might contain a few bugs which will be fixed by CyanogenMod in the future nightly builds. And as we already know, OnePlus chose to leave out the sources for the drivers for Dash Charging functionality. So Dash Charging won’t work with CyanogenMod or any other custom ROM’s and we don’t expect this to happen anytime soon.

We are giving a step by step guide to install latest CyanogenMod nightly on OnePlus 3. Users need to flash this Nightly build at their own risk. We are not responsible for any bricked devices, dead SD cards, thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed.
