According to DigiTimes, HDD prices are expected to fall by around 10 percent in a month. Ever since the Thailand floods severely impacted the supply of Hard Disk Drives in October 2011, HDD prices have risen abnormally, and have stayed high. Western Digital was the most affected as the prices of its HDDs rose by forty seven percent.

Hopefully as the supply slowly gets back to a hundred percent or the pre-flood levels, HDD prices will drop again.
