This one is for folks who just love special edition DSLRs, Pentax has announced the “special edition” of its K-5 DSLR which was launched in February last year.

As you would have known by know, the special edition of the K-5 DSLR will come in a silver paintjob and will also come with a 40mm f2.8 pancake lens that will match the color of the camera’s body. Other features of the hardware remain exactly the same with a 16.3MP image sensor, an 11-point AF system, and ability shoot at ISOs up to 51,200.

The original K-5 DSLR was priced at a $100 more than what this special edition costs and it even has the lens bundled which makes it much more value for money. It is expected to be made available in April for $1,599.95 and will be available via Pentax’s online store or Ace Photo and if you are planning on getting this DSLR then you better keep your credit cards ready since it is limited to only 1500 units worldwide.
