OnePlus One the flagship killer though have been left deserted from the Android update party still rolling on KitKat but we know ‘there shall be light’. There have been a couple of Lollipop ROMs already out there for the OnePlus One official and unofficial. OnePlus also released an alpha build of their Oxygen OS and CyanogenMod came out with their CM12 Beta build.

CyanogenMod promised to bring the Lollipop for OnePlus One 90 days after Google brings Lollipop but has failed to do so. Carl Pei, co-founder and CEO, OnePlus answering a query to a fan has revealed that CM12S and OxygenOS stable builds will be out by March. He blames proprietary drivers, code, QA, and certifications.

Our month long experience with CM12 beta builds shall agree with the same. There are few bugs which might disturb the pleasant performance users have on CM11S. There are few more custom ROMs for OnePlus One users in development, popular ones being Euphoria OS, Paranoid Android and SlimROM.

We too are excited about the latest version of Android and are eagerly waiting for the developers to roll out a stable build soon.
