Lava International has launched Iris Fuel 60 a mid range smartphone that features a 4000mAh battery. According to Lava the smartphone will last for 32 hours with 3G data connectivity always enabled. The phone is also equipped with quick charge technology that restricts the charging time to 3 hours 15 minutes.

The handset is manufactured using Zero soldering manufacturing technology in which all the components are connected via connectors. Benefits of this manufacturing technology are that it removes all the defects that can occur at the time of manufacturing and the device is easy to repair.

Lava Iris Fuel 60 is powered by a 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor, Mali-400MP GPU and 1GB RAM, the phone comes with 8GB internal storage and a microSD card slot that supports cards of up to 32GB capacity.
The smartphone is equipped with Gesture control using which user can double tap on the screen to wake the smartphone from sleep mode. Users can also draw various alphabets on screen to launch various applications or tasks and each alphabet gesture can be linked to any task. For instance user can draw C on the screen of device in sleep mode to launch camera and W to launch WhatsApp.

Lava has partnered with Airtel and is offering a promotional offer for Airtel users who buy this device. Airtel is offering 500mb of 3G internet for 2 months.
