News: ASUS Transformer Prime has a locked Bootloader

News: ASUS Transformer Prime has a locked Bootloader Transformer Prime Transformer ROM Prime locked Kernel Eeepad Custom ROM bootloader Asus Earlier this week we did a unboxing video of the Asus Transformer Prime, which is a very promising tablet – however it may not be the ideal tablet for the geeks (and developers) out there, simply because it has a locked bootloader. The quad-core Tegra 3 tablet actually has a 128-bit Advanced Encryption lock on its bootloader that will prevent the developers and hackers to gain root access. With a locked bootloader, the advantage of flashing Custom ROMs and Kernels will be next to impossible. Unless ASUS comes out with a tool similar to what HTC did in order to unlock it’s devices, Transformer Prime developers will be left with no custom kernels.

Will you still buy a Transformer Prime ? Let us know !
