We all know one of the biggest complaints against Android are the slow updates thus the slow adoption of the latest platforms like at this day we cover devices getting Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich while Android 4.1 Jelly Bean is already out but thankfully it seems Android 4.0 is getting the adoption with now it accounting for almost 16 % of all Android devices.

The last time Google had released figures, Ice Cream Sandwich accounted for 10 % of devices. It is finally starting to eat on the Gingerbread Pie with Gingerbread (Android 2.3) dropping by 3.4-percent, Froyo (Android 2.2) by 1.8 and Eclair (Android 2.1) by a meager half a percent.

The latest Android iteration Android 4.1 Jelly Bean also makes an appearance with a meagre 0.8 %.
