Samsung has just announced on its official blog the successor to their highly popular mid-range Android Smartphone Galaxy Ace, the successor has been named as Galaxy Ace Plus thus keeping the original name intact too. Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus comes with several notable improvements over its predecessor.

The Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus comes with a faster 1GHz CPU which is a nice upgrade, 3GB storage and 512 MB RAM. The Ace Plus also sports a slightly larger HVGA LCD – it measures 3.65″ in diagonal compared to the 3.5″ of the original Galaxy Ace. The exterior of the smartphone also got redesigned and it’s now made of glossy rather than matte plastic which would certainly make it look better and its corners seem to a bit more rounded compared to the original Ace.

The rest of the specs are pretty much same with that of the original Ace. You get the same 5 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash, dual-band 3G with 7.2 MB/sec HSDPA, Wi-Fi , GPS, 3.5 mm audio jack and a standard microUSB port. The internal storage is expandable through the microSD card slot, while the Bluetooth version is 3.0.

There is no information about the pricing and availability of Galaxy Ace Plus but as soon as we get to know we’ll update you. Does the beefed up Samsung Galaxy Ace Plus interest you ?
