With the advent of smartphones into the affordable luxury segment, consumer electronics major Videocon has launched its two smartphones models A30 and A20, both running on Google’s Android operating system. Interestingly, both are dual sim handsets with dual standby(GSM + GSM) and are powered by 1 GHz Qualcomm Scorpion Snapdragon processors.

Talking about the model with the better specifications first, the A30 is powered by a dual core processor and running Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The handset also boasts of a 4.0 inch (10.1 cm) WVGA 800 X 480 capacitive touchscreen and a 4.0 MP primary camera along with a VGA secondary camera. The phone’s snapper also offers face detection, image editing and optical zoom features. The phone also has 3G(upto 7.2 Mbps HSDPA), Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS and a variety of preinstalled Google apps. Speaking about memory, the phone’s memory is expandable upto 32 GB with microSD support. The phone is supported by a 1500 mAh battery to help the phone cruise through the day. All this comes at an MRP of Rs. 7,299.

The A20 on the other hand, is a 3.5 inch HVGA 320 x 480 capacitive touchscreen handset running on Android v2.3(Gingerbread) and powered by a single core 1 Ghz processor. The phone comes with a 3.0 megapixel camera primary camera and a 0.3 meegapixel secondary camera. It also offers features like preinstalled Facebook, Gesture Search and Google applications. Like the A30, the A20 is also a 3G enabled handset with WiFi, Bluetooth and GPS. The phone is fueled by a 1350 mAh battery and the phone memory is expandable upto 16 GB.
