On June 19th, Microsoft announced the best thing to come around since Grilled Cheese; you might even say it’s a game stopper. Surface is the first Windows 8 tablet to hit the market. Surface is “a tablet that works and plays the way that you want to.” Surface “embodies the notion of hardware and software really pushing each other.”

Freedom of choice is something that humans thrive on, and Microsoft has incorporated that in its launch of Surface products. The Surface family includes Surface for Windows RT, Surface for Windows 8 Pro, and a variety of TouchCover colors. For those who want to use Surface for work, you have the choice of either a full, attachable multi-touch keyboard, or a Type Cover tactile keyboard.

With the specs on this baby, even the biggest apple fanboy will have to wipe the drool off his lips. Basic specs of the two Surface versions include:
