asus_padfone_infinity-580-75We have seen the PadFone from Asus turn from a wild fictitious concept to a practical example of phone – tablet cross pollination. Asus found itself announcing the PadFone Infinity – the newest iteration to the PadFone 2 at the Mobile World Congress 2013 at Barcelona.

Specwise it comes with Android JellyBean 4.2(only the phone part) boasting a 1080p display on a 5″ touchscreen which is a step up from its 720p display on the previous version. The smartphone is powered by a quad-core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 600 CPU with 2 GB of RAM and boasts of 64 GB of storage.

While the big game changer here is the CPU and hardware sharing functionality that it brings when the phone is docked to the the tablet. The tablet comes with a 10.1 inch 1080p Full HD display using an IPS+ display.

The awww going features go on with the impressive battery support provided by the smartphone-tablet package. While the smartphone has a 2400mAh battery  , when docked to the tablet, the tablets onboard battery is used which is a massive 5000mAh one. It features a 13 MP camera capable of recording 1080p video while simultaneously capturing up to 100 photos at 8 frames per second.
