HTC One M8 [Gallery]

HTC One M8 the flagship device of the year from the Taiwanese company is one hell of a smartphone. HTC One M8 was launched in India after the launch of Samsung Galaxy S5 which was priced higher than the M8. HTC launched the M8 for Rs. 49,900 and to be honest this is a decent pricing they could have ever start up with.

Specification chart aside, this smartphone is beautiful. The curves of the device fit so well with the contours of our palm but still slippery. The brushed metal look in a metal build feels and looks premium. I love this smartphone from the moment I saw it in person. It might be a little heavy considering it has a 90 percent metallic body but 160 grams is not too much to handle. The placement of buttons and the screen size is very ergonomic. The front has the boom sound stereo speakers with 5MP camera on the front and HTC branding on the bottom of the screen. There are two cameras on the back both of them being the 4MP ultrapixel cameras and dual LED flash. The back also has a htc branding in the middle with adds on the looks.

The bottom has a 3.5mm audio out and a micro USB port while the top has just the power/standby button. The left side has the nano SIM tray while the right has the microSD card tray and the volume rocker.

Waking the smartphone from sleep you will be greeted with a lockscreen with shortcut icons and a lock in the middle swiping which will unlock the screen. The homescreen has typical Android widgets with shortcuts icons. Swiping extreme left with take you to the BlinkFeed while the app menu icon will take you to a vertical app drawer. The smartphone runs on Android 4.4 KitKat operating system and comes with lot more features left to discover as we use the device.

This handset packs top notch specifications with excellent looks. Stating our first impressions, we are very excited to use this smartphone and know about its performance. We shall be coming with a detailed review soon along with some exciting demo videos to help you understand this smartphone better. So till then keep calm and keep sharing.
