Samsung Galaxy Note 4 launched in India for Rs. 58,300 [Gallery and First Impressions]

Samsung had announced the Galaxy Note 4, next iteration to their premier phablet series sometime this year ago and today they have officially brought it here in India. We were expecting the launch to be little late alike last time with the Note 3, but they had to pull the trigger with the iPhone launch in India. Not to mention, the handset will be made available the same day as iPhone will be, offering customers to rethink their decision about the choice they make because both of them cost a kidney.

First look at the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 when seen in person, its the same like the earlier one. Oh wait there’s something different. The design language is undoubtedly the same, what they have improved this time is the material which holds this device. I am sure everyone is quite known to this design and find it aesthetically boring but the elements they add makes it a bit acceptable. Last time they had the faux leather back and this time they have made it even better adding with the metal frame. So now the premium feel lives up to its level, kind of. Samsung Galaxy devices are known to cost much and this is the reason some of the people prefer it as a luxury device without any idea of how to use all its features. Galaxy Note 4 will do justice to them and even with those who prefer to carry a powerhouse along.

The phablet features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED Quad-HD display with 2560×1440 pixels resolution. As expected, brilliant display with sharp clear text and good color reproduction. The handset is powered by a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor for the Indian market as well, still not able to understand how did they skip Exynos variant in India. The phablet packs 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage which is further expandable more up to 128GB via external microSD card. On the optics, they have 3.7MP front-facing F1.9 camera and 16MP OIS equipped rear camera for shooting best pictures in any lighting conditions. Note series have an exclusive add-on called as the S-Pen which have been even improved for better this time for natural flow. The Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 3220mAh fast charging battery kind of like the Oppo’s VOOC, which can boost up 50percent in mere 30 mins of power supply.

The Galaxy Note 4 runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and shall upgrade to the latest Android with no comments on what time frame. We could only experience the design and the software up to an extent with 15 minutes of time we had. So far, so good. Our short experience with the device was pleasing but it needs more time for evaluation for us to comment.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 shall retail for Rs. 58,300 in India from online and offline retailers across the country. Comparison to the new iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus? Well we need to dig up more than just facts to answer that but that shall follow soon as the launch isn’t too far.
