Xiaomi Mi 9 with 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, Snapdragon 855, in-display fingerprint sensor announced

Xiaomi, along with introducing a 5G variant of Xiaomi Mi Mix 3, has also introduced the Mi 9 smartphone for the global markets at its MWC 2019 event. The device packs a 6.39-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection on top of it. The Mi 9 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 855 7nm Mobile Platform and runs Android 9.0 (Pie) with MIUI 10 on top. In terms of optics, the device houses a 48-megapixel Sony IMX586 sensor with Laser Autofocus, PDAF and Contrast Detection Autofocus (CAF), closed-loop Voice Coil Motor (VCM) for improved auto-focusing. The device also features an in-display fingerprint sensor and packs a 3300mAh battery and has support for 27W fast charging.

The Xiaomi Mi 9 comes in Ocean Blue, Lavender Violet and Piano Black color variants and is priced at 449 Euros (US$ 509 / Rs. 36,000 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB storage version and the 499 Euros (US$ 565 / Rs. 40,000 approx.) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version. If you are in Europe and you’re lucky to be from Spain, Italy, or France, you can already pre-order the device, with shipments for a Xiaomi Mi 9 with 6/64 GB memory beginning later this week.
