Following the launch of the GTR 2 and GTS 2 mini smartwatches in India last month, Huami confirmed that the cheaper versions of the watch, the Amazfit GTR 2e and GTS 2e, will be launched in India this month after being unveiled in China recently. The Amazfit GTR 2e has a 1.39-inch 2.5D curved glass display with glass vacuum coating and an aluminum alloy body, while the GTS 2e has a 1.65-inch AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display with glass vacuum coating, an aluminum alloy body, and a frosted matte bottom case.
Both the smartwatches lack a built-in Wi-Fi, a speakerphone for Bluetooth voice calls, and built-in storage for music playback. They support the PAI health rating system, over 90 sport modes with intelligent recognition of 6 sport modes and offer twice the battery life of the GTR 2 and GTS 2.
They were launched in China for 799 RMB ($122/nearly Rs 9,000), so they can be expected to be launched in India for less than Rs 10,000.
Amazfit has confirmed that the GTR 2e and GTS 2e will be available on the 19th of January in India. The GTR 2e will be sold on Amazon.in and the GTS 2e on Flipkart, in addition to Amazfit.com.
