Google is now taking a hard step and stopping it for all with the latest version of Android. As per the report, the third-party app developers said that now the call recording is not possible without rooting. That implies that now all the users who want to use the call recording apps have to root their device and then only they’ll be able to do so.
The maker of Call Recorder – ACR posted a detailed note in their forum informing users about the bad news. The forum stated that no third-party apps will be able to offer the functionality going forward. Call Recorder developer BoldBeast also added to that “root is the only way to go.”
It is also in news that Google is working along with telecom operator to test the checking features. They’re also planning to play a special tone after every 15 sec to notify that the call is not being recorded.
Perhaps native recording is something we’ll get in 9.1 or with the release of the Pixel 3 — we’ll just have to wait and see. If you wish you can play the voice in speaker and still record it as per your convenience.
