Google India in partnership with MyGov, a citizen engagement platform of Government of India announced a contest to build an app for the Prime Minister Office (PMO). This contest will be open for all institutions across the country launching today at 5PM.
Advocating the Digital India campaign, this app aims at bringing the use of technology and innovation into day to day use case. The mobile app will be developed in close observation with Google helping with design and features.
The contest has been divided into three phases: the first phase will seek ideas from the public on what they would like to see in the mobile app for the PMO, the second phase will involve building wire-frames, and the final phase will include short listing, judging and building the app. The content will be held at MyGov.in and the last date for submitting ideas and voting is 12 March 2015.
The final decisions will be make by an external jury who will be choosing the winner application.
