News: Microsoft releases SkyDrive app for Windows Phone and iOS

SkyDrive the free cloud storage service by Microsoft, now has apps for Windows Phone and iOS. The apps allow you to upload, download, manage and share files.

The apps allow you to choose sharing prefrences that is whether you’d like a particular file to be editable or just viewable by others. Other than the design and UI differences between the apps for the two operating systems, they share the same core functionality. On Windows Phone, however, the app works well with already-existent SkyDrive integration that allows users to have photos automatically uploaded to the cloud and edit/view documents in Office.

SkyDrive is available and you can download it from the Windows Phone Marketplace (for devices 7.5 and greater) or the iTunes App Store (for iOS devices 4.0 or greater).
