News : Facebook launches free voice calling for iPhone users in the US

Facebook has updated its Messenger app, making free calling over WiFi and data connections available for all US iPhone users.

Currently restricted to the iPhone users using the latest version of Facebook messenger, the feature allows users to voice call their friends who also use the app.

A user can initiate the voice call by tapping the “i” icon on the top right side of chat, and then hitting the “Free Call” button from your friend’s contact card.

After a few tests, the call quality sounds very good, and is certainly on par with competitors like Viber, BBM and Skype.
