The “Nokia Collection” as well as “Apps for Nokia” Apps category has appeared on the Windows Phone Marketplace for the Nokia Lumia 800. It seems it is the category exclusive to Nokia’s Lumia range of WP smartphones and might soon appear on Nokia Lumia 710. This was first spotted by Professor Thibault from France and the category reportadly includes five apps right now: Nokia Maps, Contacts Transfer, TuneIn Radio and App highlights.
The integration of Nokia’s App Store with Microsoft’s Windows Phone Marketplace was always expected since and was touted as an strategic element when the two companies joint hands in February. With an aggressive plan to invade US and with some really exciting devices coming up on CES, let’s hope the number of exclusive Apps in the “Nokia Collection” also starts to grow. The coming times are certainly looking promising and interesting for both Nokia and Microsoft with their partnership !
