News: OTA Broadcast TV on Android & iOS : Dyle Mobile TV on Metro PCS

The Western hemisphere hasn’t been lucky enough to have a successful one-seg TV tuning device, but MetroPCS and Mobile Content Venture (a joint venture of Fox, NBC & 10 other Content Providers) want to be the first with Dyle Mobile TV. The broadcasts will be received through a two part system – an antenna & a downloadable App for iOS or Android. As there is no hardware required, all devices that have either iOS or Android can receive broadcasts.

At CES 2012, Dyle demonstrated a prototype Samsung phone with retractable antenna, the picture was bright and clear while the reception was fluctuating. Moreover as this does not require to be connected to the internet, you don’t have to pay anything extra for data usage and have free sports and news broadcasts everywhere we go.
