With the majority of Symbian^3 users still waiting for the Nokia Belle update and it coming soon. Microsoft decided to update the Skype application for Belle.
The UI has been overhauled to fit in with the rest of Belle. Performance has been increased drastically as well. Sadly, it only supports voice calling and instant messaging, but no video calling at all.
Currently, only the Nokia 603, 700 and 701 support it officially, but there are other devices with leaked Belle firmware that should be able to run it trouble free. All the others can do now is wait until Nokia officially releases the Belle update to users of the C6-01, C7, E6, E7, N8 and 500, since it is February already, they won’t have to wait too long.
