It has been quite surprising to see that Microsoft acquired Skype is still not available for its own Windows Phone OS. The Redmond based company had first promised to bring the voice and video chatting service Skype in late 2011 but 2011 has already passed with no words from the company.
But its better late than never and it seems that Skype for Windows Phone is nearing release now as Skype’s VP of products, Rick Osterloh, revealed that Microsoft’s Skype division is “working on a Windows Phone product that will be coming out soon,” during an interview at CES 2012.
Although there’s no confirmation from Microsoft but we still feel we’ll get to see the app revealed at MWC in Barcelona and according to reports Skype will not be integrated deeply in the OS but we can expect deep integration of Skype in Windows Phone ‘Apollo’.
