Windows Phone Marketplace has been growing rapidly, it recently reached the 50,000 mark in apps so it is the right time for for Microsoft to expand the markets where it is available. Microsoft’s Todd Brix has announced at the Windows Team Blog that the Marketplace will be open to app submissions for 6 new markets: China, Argentina, Indonesia, Malaysia, Peru and the Philippines.
While the Marketplace isn’t yet available for the people residing in these countries, developers may submit their apps now to benefit from early certification Well it seems that Microsoft wants to cover its shelves before actually making it available in these countries. Of all the countries, China is surely the most important since its the largest market in apps.
