UC Web recently came out with the v9.8 of its mobile browser UC Browser with amazing fast browsing speed. This has been proven through various tests conducted on 2G and 3G network.
Installing a dedicated application has a minimum requirement for resources and its proper functioning which is limited in the low segment. UC Browser gets some brownie points for its speed and therefore packs a good opportunity to act as an alternative to some of the mobile apps whose mobile sites are active.
The browser is supposed to run the mobile websites perfectly and ensuring to keep up with the speed, they have come up with new algorithms which allows to browse through the web even faster.
In a recent test by the company, UC Web claims that Facebook mobile site works fastest with the UC Browser 9.8 leaving behind UC Browser 9.7, Opera Mini 7.5.35199 and Google Chrome 35.0.1916.122. The tests were done on two of India’s best-selling 10k range Android smartphones – Samsung I9082 and Samsung I8262. Caches and histories of each browser were cleared before each test.
UC Browser performed almost 60 percent faster than Opera Mini and 30 percent faster than its predecessor on a 3G network. While on a 2G network, UC Browser 9.8 is 35 percent faster than Opera Mini and 30 percent faster than its predecessor and Chrome.
