Asus Zenfone AR running Project Tango along with supporting Daydream VR launched in India for ₹49,999

Asus smartphones today announced the world’s first Tango-based + Daydream ready handset in India, called as the Asus Zenfone AR. The handset was first showcased at CES 2017 and was also mentioned in the product demo at Google I/O earlier this year. After the OnePlus 5, Asus Zenfone AR brings 8GB RAM to a smartphone but here, we believe it can max out when actually put to use for AR+VR applications.

Working with close cooperation with Google on Project Tango, this handset manufactured by the Taiwanese company is the second commercial handset to be rolled out. On the specification end, it comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset paired with 8 GB of RAM. The handset sports a 5.7-inch WQHD(2K) display built on Super AMOLED technology. Powered by 3,300mAh battery it comes with Quick Charge tech. Here is a complete list of specifications below.

The handset, Zenfone AR will be available today in fact right now for ₹49,999 from Flipkart. It is available in Black color with leather back.

Launching at a hefty price tag, Asus bundles a few launch offers with the Zenfone AR. Partnering with Jio, every Jio and Zenfone AR user will get up to 100GB additional 4G data and complimentary Jio Prime membership. The user can avail the additional 4G data in the form of one additional 10GB data voucher per recharge or Rs 309 or above, for a maximum of 10 recharges till March’18. This data is over and above the benefits of the pack.

Additionally, there is ₹2,500 off on Google Daydream View VR Headset along with purchase of ZenFone AR. Also, the consumer can avail no cost EMI offer up to 9 months.
