Chrome for Android is finally getting support for sharing pretty test snippets

Chrome for Android has finally announced a new feature that was long-awaited by many users, which is the ability to share snippets of text and images from a webpage. This change will replace the ugly text snippets. The feature will be called as WebNotes Stylize and been spotted on the latest Chrome Canary for Android.

Thanks to this new feature, we can share text snippets through Chrome for Android directly without any extensions. And the steps to do are simple. Just select the text input field, type your text, and share, it’s as simple as that. We can also select different styles and shapes of the snippet to give a nice touch.

Google has also added a new feature to link the WebNote Snippet to a specific text on any website. Google is trying to make it more useful and innovative with time and we may see major changes in the near future too.

To be able to use the feature now, you need to first install Chrome Canary 93. Then type chrome://flags/#webnotes-stylize in the address bar and press search. It will open up a page with WebNotes Stylize, as shown in the image above. Then enable it and restart. Then select any text on any website and click the Share button in the context menu. Then a new Marker styling option will appear on the lower-left corner of the submenu which will take to a new page where you will be asked to select a template with the selected text. Then you will be able to share the snippet. Also, you can link the website along with the Snippet. The feature is still under work and may be unstable at times. There aren’t many templates available also. Note that the Chrome Canary is the most unstable developer build so it is not intended for public daily use. WebNotes Stylize is also available for Chrome 92 Beta, but it is useless as the feature is broken and does nothing as of now.

You can download the latest Chrome Canary 93 from the Play Store or from APK Mirror as shown on the above image. The best part is that you can use both the Chrome Canary and Chrome Stable together so if you intend to try the feature, you are good to go to try it out.
