Firefox Focus gets Updated with a new GeckoView Engine and Refined UI

Almost 3 years back Firefox had introduced its privacy-focused browser known as the Firefox Focus in the market. It was originally released for the iOS platform but later made its way to Android. From that time the browser was using Google Chrome’s WebView for rendering websites but recently lot has been changed for the brand. Firefox has just shifted the browser to its fresh GeckoView engine to render the websites. So without wasting a moment let’s check out more about it.

Mozilla is working in silence for a long and finally, they have their own GeckoView engine. In case you guys don’t know Google offers its WebView engine to third-party developers. It helps them in making a secure and ready to work browser for Android platform. According to the Mozilla team, this change won’t affect the user experience at all and hardly any noticeable difference would be spotted for now. Firefox Focus is known for its privacy features and this thing further allows the brand to implement unique privacy features.

Along with the introduction of this new engine, the recent update brings some more refinements. This includes a completely optimized Visual design, Siri Shortcuts for iOS users, search suggestions, etc. Keeping other things aside the new icons are the most eye-catching thing.
