Gboard brought new dynamic Navigation Bar Colors feature

Google’s Gboard recently tested a feature that automatically colored the software navigation bar’s background white for light-colored keyboard themes and black for dark-colored keyboard themes. Now they are bringing a new feature in Google’s keyboard app, in which the navigation bar is now dynamically colored based on the current keyboard theme.

According to the report, this feature colors the navigation bar background according to Gboard’s color scheme. however, this new dynamic nav bar color feature doesn’t work with custom images set as Gboard’s background.

Currently, Navigation Bar Colors only works on the Google Pixel devices and not on others. It’s possible that Google intends for it to only work on the Google Pixel. We can’t say for sure until the feature is officially rolled out. Also, Navigation Bar Colors is an in-development feature, Google may or may not release it at all.
