To make Google Photos as functional as possible, it makes sense for people to turn to a less resource-hungry alternative. Google launched Gallery Go about a year and a half ago for less powerful Android Go phones, and in the meantime, it has already reached the 50 million installations on the Play Store.
Although Gallery Go, as its name suggests, is designed for Android Go phones but is widely popular amongst other non Android Go smartphones as well just because of its ease of use and its minimal UI. And for those of you who are sensitive to bright screens in dark rooms, it also has a dark mode built-in.
The Gallary Go app is lightweight, runs offline, and has smart organizational capabilities – what’s not to like about it?
It should be noted that if Gallery Go was able to reach the 50 million mark so quickly, this is largely due to the standard gallery application on Android Go devices, but the performance is still impressive. And if you don’t own a smartphone that has stock Android experience and are stuck with the native gallery app which is easy and does not organize your pictures well then you should definitely try Gallary Go. Also, if you’re looking for a simpler gallery application, Google’s Gallery Go is worth a try.
