Huawei to bring Indian Specific features to EMUI 9 based on Android P

At present most of the devices that are creating new sales record in India belongs to the Chinese brands. A short time ago Huawei has entered the Indian market with a strategy that other brands like Xiaomi, OnePlus, etc were already following. In recent, we’ve seen that how hard the brand is working to increase its presence in the Indian market. We’ve witnessed some great devices like Honor Play, Huawei P20 Pro from their house which shows their interest in capturing the users here.

Similar to most of the Chinese brand Huawei also has its own custom UI known as the EMUI. Earlier at IFA 2018, the brand has announced the new EMUI version 9 which is based on the  Android Pie. It’s been a long time since the brand is testing it and finally a few days back it has been rolled out to several devices including the Mate 10, P20, Honor View 10, Honor Play, etc.

EMUI 9 promises 12.9% better performance and 10% better app loading times. The all-new GPU Turbo 2.0 improves the graphics performance of a device by 60% and at the same time lowers the battery consumption by 30%. EMUI 9 comes with Google’s Digital Well being feature which helps a user to track the time he/she spends on their smartphone. Huawei has introduced 33API compared to the 22API which were present in the EMUI 8.

The brand has just revealed that they will be bringing some new features to their EMUI 9 which are specifically developed keeping in mind the Indian community. It is great to know that how mammoth brands like Huawei are taking a step further which shows their interest in the Indian market. Indian users are very different from other regions like China, U.S and this the biggest reason why they will be tweaking the UI to make it more comfortable for Indian users. For now, they will be bringing support for 28 Indian languages, customized local calendar, deeper integration of Paytm, etc. In near future, we will see that how this strategy of the brand has influenced the users.
