Always-on-display was made possible by OLED technology, and Android smartphones were the first to use it. New rumors suggest that Apple has finally added support for always-on screens with iPhone 13, which will display the clock and battery at all times, as well as notifications.
As reported by Max Weinbach in a video published by YouTuber EverythingApplePro, Apple will always present it on display with this year’s iPhone 13 models. Important information such as the clock and battery level is always displayed on the screen, while incoming notifications are shown on a dimmed screen and only temporarily.
In January, rumors surfaced that Apple would use Samsung’s LTPO OLED panels in the iPhone 13 Pro series. So their ProMotion technology will be integrated into the iPhone and the Always-on display feature will be enabled.
The video also states that iPhone 13 models will have stronger MagSafe magnet arrays, as well as the ability to automatically activate astrophotography mode when stars and moons are detected in the viewfinder.
Earlier rumors about the iPhone 13 suggest that the smartphone will feature an improved ultra-wide camera, a smaller notch, and sensor-shift OIS on all 4 iPhone 13 models.
