Itel achieves milestone by selling one million handsets in India

Transsion Holdings Conglomerate, one the world’s largest smart feature phone manufacturer and a leading supplier of communication devices entered Indian market couple of month ago with its Global mobile brand- Itel. The brand forayed into the Indian market with a variety of reliable and trendy communication devices, which include feature phones priced at less than INR 2,000 and value-added smartphones available for less than INR 10,000. Currently operating in 11 states in North India including Uttar Pradesh East, Uttar Pradesh West, Gujarat, Jammu and Kashmir, Bihar, Jharkhand, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The brand also offers one-of-its-kind 100 days replacement warranty for all its devices.

Now Itel mobile had announced  that they had successfully sold more than one million handsets within India. The company achieved this milestone within couple of months of its operational launch. The 15 products launched so far include eight feature phone and seven smartphones. All these devices are aimed at empowering the aspiring consumer base with value-plus mobile-based connectivity solutions. The brand aims to open 1,000 service centres across the country by the end of 2016. The brand currently has tie-ups with 325 distributors in the country and the number of itel retailers stands at around 25000.

Itel Mobile recently ranked 51st in the top 100 “Most Admired Brands 2015” by Africa Business Magazine, Africa’s largest business magazine. The distinction was achieved for its contribution in improving the lives of the African people.
