iVOOMi Z1 with a Notched Display and Face Unlock launched in India

iVoomi has launched their budget offering in the form of iVoomi Z1 smartphone which is claimed to be one of the most affordable offerings in the market with a display notch. Also, the company recently launched the Innelo 1 under a new sub-brand Innelo. It was the first device to sport a notched display at INR 7,499.

At first glance, one can hardly tell that the smartphone belongs to a budget category. As revealed by the brand it will be a Flipkart exclusive handset and will go on sale starting from 11th of October. iVoomi Z1 houses a 5.67(inch) HD+ LCD Display with a resolution of 1498 x 720 pixels, 19:9 aspect ratio. The device comes powered by a MediaTek MTK6739 Quad-Core processor coupled with a PowerVR GE8100 GPU for gaming. The device comes in only one variant i-e 2GB RAM+16GB ROM, luckily the storage on the device is expandable up to 128GB’s via micro-SD card.

In terms of optics, the iVoomi Z1 sports a single 13-megapixel rear camera Sony IMX135 sensor with 5P lens and a soft flash. On the front, the smartphone bears a 5-megapixel selfie camera with 1.12-micron pixel size and a 4P lens. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Micro-USB with OTG support. The phone comes with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and support for face unlock. It has a weight of about 150.7 grams. The handset is backed by a 2,800mAh battery under the hood.

The iVoomi Z1’s SmartMe OS 3.0 features the company’s proprietary smart battery management system that optimizes the battery performance by analyzing user behavior to manage apps and background activity.

Surprisingly the handset offers both Facial Recognition and Fingerprint Scanner for security. The handset runs on a 2800mAh battery and is priced at INR 6,999, but in Flipkart’s Big Billion days one can grab it for INR 6,499.
