LG G5 modular smartphone launched in India at ₹52,990

South Korean smartphone maker LG has launched its latest flagship smartphone LG G5 in India. The main highlights of the smartphone is its modular body. The modules are called as LG Friends, as they are the companion (friends) of the smartphone and can be attached to it. The LG Cam Plus, a camera add-on module that adds intuitive camera on/off, zoom, shutter and record keys. The module also bumps the total battery capacity to 4000mAh. The Hi-Fi Plus module, co-developed by LG and Bang & Olufsen, is a portable Hi-Fi DAC which can be used as a standalone portable DAC or with the G5 to enable 32-bit audio playback.
The LG G5 features an all metal construction with a rounded pebble-shaped design that will be available in Titan, Gold and Silver. The device comes with a primer coating on top of the metal that lets LG hide the antenna bands that are usually visible and ruin the visual appearance of smartphones. The device packs in a DUO camera, which is basically a dual lens camera setup with a 16 MP rear camera and a 135-degrees wide, 8 MP camera as well.

The LG G5 comes in Silver, Titan and Gold colors and is priced at INR 52,990. It is now available for purchase exclusively from Flipkart online and is also available through retail stores. It also comes with a free Battery and Charging Cradle worth ₹3,499 for a limited period. The LG 360 CAM is priced at ₹21,490 and the LG 360 VR is priced at ₹21,990.
