LG Brings India’s First Smart TV with Artificial Intelligence

LG Electronics today launched their new range of smart LG OLED AI TVs with integrated AI designed to bring enhanced connectivity and more immersive TV viewing experiences. The new range includes over 25 TV models with the screen size between 32-inch to 77-inch. All these smart TVs are launched under LG’s new brand – ThinQ, which is the company’s AI focused brand. The TV’s AI functionality allows the user to interact with the TV directly via voice work on fixed voice commands. Users can speak into the microphone on the TV remote for functions such as search and navigation controls. LG says that there are over 800 preset commands available for the TV.

LG’s AI TV are powered by α Alpha 9 intelligent processor which offers accurate colors, more realistic and improved image renderings from any viewing angle. The processor enables improved 120fps frame rate, enhanced contrast, better noise reduction and true colors. There is support for 4k cinema HDR, Dolby Atmos cinematic sound and option of mobile connection overlay (mirror phone screen on Tv). The TVs use nano cell technology with full array dimming backlight for deeper blacks and improved shadow details along with wider viewing angles. LG AI TV also supports the full palette of HDR, including Dolby Vision, advanced HDR by Technicolor, HDR10 Pro, HLG Pro, creating a true cinematic experience at home. By combining Nano Cell, LG’s 2018 SUPER UHD TV offers a host of technological advantages including deeper blacks, enhanced image rendering, improved shadow details and accurate color from wide viewing angles. Nano Cell Display reveals a billion lifelike colors, 64 times richer than conventional TV.

LG’s AI TV are available in OLED, Super UHD, UHD and smart TV segment. The range starts from INR 32,500 to INR 29,49,990 with screen sizes varying from 32-inch to 77-inch.
