Xiaomi has announced its all-new Mi TV webcam in India. It is launched as a competing product against the OnePlus TV Camera. It is basically launched so that you can install Google Duo on your smart TV to make video calls and connect with family and friends on a bigger screen. Also, you can use it for Online education. The Mi TV Webcam has a 12MP camera sensor and can record and stream in 1080p (FHD+) at 25 frames per second, viewing angle of 71 degrees. It is equipped with two far-field microphones which can pick up voice from up to 4 meters and also has a 3D noise reduction feature to reduces background noise for a better and clear voice clarity.
The Webcam is attached to a magnetic base so that it can attach to any metallic surface device. Xiaomi has also included a cover of the lens.
The Mi TV Webcam will work with any Android TV running Android TV 8 or later. It can also be used on Windows laptops or desktops running Windows 7 or later, and Apple Macs. This is due to the USB Type-C port which enables universal compatibility for the webcam.
Xiaomi has also bundled a USB Type-C to USB Type-A cable.
The Mi TV webcam is priced at Rs 1999. It will be available from the 28th June 2021 across all Mi stores and their own mi.com.
