Datawind in association with the HRD Ministry has launched Aakash 2 – the new version of India’s low-cost tablet Aakash. The new Aakash 2 tablet is available at a subsidised price of Rs 1,130 for Indian students.
Aakash runs Android 4.0 operating system though it is a bit laggy , and a front-facing VGA camera , the new tablet has 512 MB RAM and internal memory of 4GB, which is expandable up to 32GB using a micro SD card. The tablet continues the footsteps of the predecessor, again this tablet as a poor battery backup around four hours of battery time and now there is a new processor i.e 1 GHz Cortex A8 processor.
Though Aakash 2 tablet is much better than its predecessor except the battery life.
The commercial version of Aakash 2 tablet is branded as Ubilsate 7ci , and is available at INR 4449.
There might not be a those expected horsepower in these tablets but they can certainly help with you studies and lighten the load of carrying all those books around.
