News: Chinese Hackers Hit U.S. Chamber of Commerce

If reports are to be believed, some Chinese citizens have been discovered to be hacking US Chamber of Commerce in May of 2010.According to Wall Street Journal first breech is believed to have occurred as early as November 2009, giving the hackers at least six months of administrator-level access to the Chamber’s network. It seems that it is not clearly known that what the hackers stole, or what their aim was. However, the Chamber says that fewer than 50 of its members were compromised, but they also said the hackers stole at least six weeks of emails from four individuals.

It looks to be a phishing attack which caused all this, since then as expected the security system of the Chambers has been overhauled.
