Facebook will unveil its Open Graph feature today. What’s more interesting is that it is launching it with the collaboration of 60 new partners, ranging from smaller sites like Airbnb, Foodly, and Pinterest to big names like Ticketmaster and Rotten Tomatoes. Though it was shown off in the previous f8 conference, it will be officially launched today with the Open Graph partners by Facebook’s Director of Platform Product Carl Sjogreen. Open Graph apps can also be integrated directly in your timeline if you want. Mark Zuckerberg described it as a way to add new verbs to your digital profile. Now, you can cook, eat, travel, and run from the comfort of Facebook. Surprisingly, Zuckerberg was no where in sight for this brief launch.
From now on, anyone will be able to build an app. On its Developers Blog, Facebook’s Eddie O’Neil also announced news, linked to developer tutorials, and teased a set of guidelines that should be going live soon.
