Facebook has started to roll out its new ad plan and they have changed their originally planned their ads to be marked from ‘sponsored’ to ‘Featured” citing the reason that the ‘Sponsored’ was already being used somewhere else. According to a Facebook spokesman
“Since people can see marketing messages from both pages they have and have not Liked elsewhere on Facebook, we want to make it clear that marketers can only pay for stories to be featured in your news feed if you have explicitly liked the page”
These ads will appear once a day for the user but even more for those who go very often on their news feed. They won’t appear on mobile right now. Facebook has been trying to be as subtle as it can so that it doesn’t bother its users too much but it seems we’ll be getting to see some flak coming against Facebook’s way, we’ll surely get to know more in a few days.
