News: Foursquare Android/iPhone App Gets Updated; NFC Beam Support for Android

Yesterday, Foursquare rolled out an update for iPhone and Android devices upgrading it to version 4.2. The new upgrade brings improvements to the search results as well as the UI in the Menu and Hours. The upgrade attends to the handling of duplicate venues along with an all new “Explore” feature, which allows one to be more specific in a search along with filtered list results featuring images.

According to the source, the Android App update comes bundled along with a NFC Beam support, a feature which lets one send Venues and Lists to other Android user via Just a Tap, only if they both are running on Android 4.0 with NFC support .
