News: Google-Motorola Deal Set for February 13th Approval

Google said in December that they expected the acquisition to close in 2012, and it looks like it’s on track to do that. Motorola shareholders have already given their approval, and we’ll have to wait and see what Google wants from the deal. According to a report by Reuters, After suspending its review in early December to seek more information from the companies, the European Commission has begun mulling the deal anew and set for itself a new deadline: Feb. 13. The EC’s review of the acquisition is but one of a handful. Regulators in the U.S. and China are also assessing it.
