Canonical, with the most popular linux distribution, Ubuntu, ends its contextual menu by launching HUD. HUD uses an intelligent search-based approach to finding and accessing menu items you need, and it also remembers what you use more often and prioritizes according to that.

Canonical generally doesn’t play much with their LTS releases, but this time we are going to see the change. The HUD is launching off with Ubuntu 12.04, Precise Pangolin, breaking the usual routine. The goal is to make finding menu items faster, in turn speeding up your workflow.
