News: India Microsoft Store hacked, username and password database stolen

Recent reports revealed that Microsoft’s online store in India has been hacked. Though the site is now offline, Google’s cache shows the Chinese EvilShadow Team taking credit for the hack.

Adding to the hacking of the site, a list of usernames and passwords of accounts have been revealed. The site kept its passwords stored in plain text, making it easier to hackers to get hold of them. If you have an account on Microsoft India site, changing your password would be a good idea.
