News: KDE 4.8 released!

The KDE community recently released its 4.8 version with some major improvements in its DE. The updates includes improvements in KDE Plasma Workspaces, KDE Applications, and the KDE Platform itself.

Some packages which were covered on a broad scale amongst the updates talked above are:

1. 6 new layouts for window-switcher
2. Improvement in power management
3. Faster file loading
4. Easier image scrolling
5. A more stable KMail
6. Introduction of ‘KSecretService’ –  a new framework for sharing passwords and data between applications securely

12.04 dev will receive it via some updates through update manger.
The users curently on KDE will receive an update soon.
