News: Kodak to focus more on profit, and to stop production of digital cameras

As a consequence of bankruptcy last month, Kodak is ceasing production of all digital cameras, pocket video cameras, and digital photo frames. Their main focus is now set on taking forward photo printing products and desktop inkjet printers.

The company made this decision to focus on parts that will be most profitable, with plans to save more than $100 million annually. This transformation is to take place in the first hald of 2012, with Kodak working with retailers to make it an orderly process. Honor warranties and technical support for discontinued products will still be handled by the company. This decision is sure to be benificial for the company but leaves many fans sad to see one of the worlds best camera brands leave the market.
